Strawberry Patches // Digital Pattern
I am the daughter of a strawberry farmer…this quilt is inspired by beautiful memories! From the variety of reds and pinks of each berry to the lush green bushes…oh, but in the early mornings, those bushes were often wet and cold!
The Bee fabrics used in the quilt are French Bees by Renee Nanneman and available in her online shop, Needllove.com The background is called Bubbles by Edyta Sitar and may be hard to find. The green diamonds unfortunately is an older fabric I had on hand, but you might see what Need’l Love has to offer! Check out the fabric line French Chateau ‘Moss’ green floral. The red checked inner border is also from the French Chateau line, called ‘Cherry Checks’. All the strawberries are different shades of reds and pinks, pulled from scraps.
The ‘Strawberry Patches’ quilt is bright and cheery, reflecting only warm sunny Oregon days picking berries in my father’s strawberry fields.
