INTRODUCING COUNTRY WILDFLOWERS

I’ve had the privilege to work with my friend, Julie Letvin of Me & My Stitches. Julie designs Civil War era fabrics for Robert Kaufman and the minute i saw her new line 6th Street Cottons, i just knew i had to make this special quilt to show off her lovely fabrics.

Inspired by Julies historic fabrics, I thought about my favorite flowering plants. I love mature rooted Lilacs, Camelia and Hydrangea’s surrounding an old established home.

My take on Julie’s fabric come from what is dear to me, you guessed it … Home.

Just like Julie’s inspiration for 6th Street Cottons, her fabric line is based on dear memories of her grandparents and time spend with them at their home.

This photo of Country Flowers was taken at our family farm where my parents Gail 85 and Roger 90 (below), still hang out in good form, plant flowers and a healthy garden.

The manufacturer, Robert Kaufman will release Julie’s 6th Street Cottons fabric line in April 2022…i know, the waiting!

See Julie’s ‘Look book’ for more homey inspiration on her website at Me & My Stitches.

And…Let your quilt shops know you will be looking for it!

Country Wildflowers quilt pattern will be available with the fabric release in April.

Thanks for stopping by! Come back soon, I’m in the middle of creating something new!

hey, can somebody remove that loose thread…it’s really bugging.
