Easter Egg Hunt Egg-3

Let’s hatch another Easter Egg!

Cutting Instructions

Egg-3 is a very simple block…nothing too complicated here! You will be making 4 Egg-3 blocks.

Cut (8) 5” x 2-1/2” and (8) 2-1/2” squares of background fabric

Cut (4) 6-1/2” x 9-1/2” floral for eggs

Cut (3) 1-1/2” floral squares will be used for cornerstones later.

Mark, Stitch and Trim

Review and Follow the same marking and sewing instructions in Egg-1 and Egg-2, for adding the background 5” x 2-1/2” rectangles to the top of the egg. And draw the same double diagonal lines on the wrong side of the 2-1/2” background squares and sew to the bottom of the egg.

Flip the egg over and trim from the back side.

Embellish

I found this beautiful antique lace and it is the perfect garnish for plain Egg-3! Using small dots of Roxanne Glue Baste-It to secure it down, I then used 2 strands of matching DMC floss and did a simple running stitch across the top of the lace.

There ya have it! With the completion of Egg-3 blocks, you are over half way finished! Use the hashtag #easteregghuntsewalong to share your Easter Fun!

Easter Egg-4 instructions will be be available Thursday, March 31th.
