Country Wildflowers

I wrote a previous blog post…back in October about my new ‘Country Wildflowers’ pattern, and after a looong wait, it is now available for purchase!

Country Wildflowers is a ‘refresh’ on an older pattern but with a subtle change in the log cabin centers to create a country feel and showcase a brand new fabric line by Julie Letvin of Me and My Stitches.

Julie’s new fabric line called ‘6th Street Cottons’ is just up my alley with a homey cozy feel…bright, but not too bright, for all those primitive lovers…like me!)

If you look close, notice the background is actually 3 different fabrics! You don’t have to use 3, but i love how the similar background fabrics play off of each other and create a subtle ebb and flow.

I had Julie’s entire 6th Street Cottons line of 24 fabrics to pick from…but chose just the right fabrics to create a feel of those mature flowers that adorn gorgeous old homes… Lilacs, Camellias and Hydrengra’s!

Are you feeling it too?

Here is a look at the entire line of 6th Street Cottons

…and a look into Julie’s 6th Street Cotton’s ‘look book’!

If you are in the Dallas Texas area this weekend…Julie has Country Wildflowers hanging in her booth at the Dallas Quilt Show She has patterns and taking preorders for kits! The fabric will be available in the next couple of weeks.

The photo below was taken on set up day by Julie and shared to her Instagram @meandmystitches
