4-patches and half square triangles create an interesting diagonal design of reds and greens.
My Candy Cane Lane sample was created using the fabric collection from 2022 by My Mind’s Eye for Riley Blake called ‘Old Fashioned Christmas’. Whether this quilt is completely scrappy or made with a certain fabric line, it works!
Here’s a look at an antique quilt used as my inspiration. Plain soft muslin with a variety of colored scraps. A bit tattered, but l love it!
Below is one i started a few years ago…same background fabric with random scraps of reds and greens.
It matters not what you use or even how you decide to put it together.
